Data Group generates its own renewable power: two megawatts of rooftop solar across every manufacturing unit, and 0.46 megawatts of wind at each of Vijay Industries and Saurabh Agrotech — 2.92 MW in all.
The solar is on the roofs of the plants themselves. Crushing and refining oilseed is energy-intensive and runs in daylight, which is the case for generating on site rather than buying in: the load and the sunshine coincide.
The wind capacity sits with Vijay Industries at Khairthal and Saurabh Agrotech at Alwar, at 0.46 MW each.
