XgenPlus

XgenPlus is Data Group's enterprise email platform: on-premise or cloud, built for banks, financial services and government bodies that need their mail to stay inside their own infrastructure.

The technology business grew out of running an ISP, and XgenPlus still behaves like one: built to stay up, to hold data inside a customer's own boundary, and to survive audit. That is why it is used by banks and by state governments rather than sold as a general-purpose inbox.

XgenPlus also supports Email Address Internationalisation (EAI), so an organisation can issue its people addresses in scripts other than Latin. Dr. Ajay Data, Data Group's Managing Director, chaired the Universal Acceptance Steering Group from 2019 to 2023, the first Asian to hold the role, and that standards work sits directly behind this feature. DataMail, the world's first IDN-compliant free email service, is built on this same XgenPlus platform: the free, consumer-facing proof that the enterprise capability works.

Behind the platform

Two decades of Universal Acceptance work.

XgenPlus's Email Address Internationalisation is not a bolted-on feature: it is the commercial expression of standards work Dr. Ajay Data, Data Group's Managing Director, has led at ICANN for over two decades. He chaired the Universal Acceptance Steering Group from 2019 to 2023, the first Asian to hold the role, was the first Indian appointed to ICANN's ccNSO Council in 2018, and co-chairs its Neo-Brahmi Generation Panel.

About XgenPlus

XgenPlus is Data Group’s enterprise email platform, built by Data Xgen Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Jaipur. It deploys on-premise or in the cloud, and is used across banking, financial services and e-governance, where keeping data inside the customer’s own infrastructure is a requirement rather than an option.
What features come with XgenPlus?
Beyond mail: AI Compose for drafting and summarising, VideoMeet for video conferencing, Xgen IM for team messaging, Xgen Office for documents and spreadsheets, PKI/S-MIME encryption, and SIYA, a voice assistant for feature and plan queries.
Which company owns XgenPlus?
XgenPlus is a product of Data Xgen Technologies Pvt. Ltd., part of Data Group in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Group’s technology arm began in 1999 as Data Infosys Ltd, now Data Ingenious Global Limited.
Does XgenPlus support email addresses in Indian languages?
Yes. XgenPlus supports Email Address Internationalisation (EAI) and IDN, across 55+ languages and scripts, so an organisation can issue addresses in scripts other than Latin. DataMail, also built by Data Xgen Technologies and powered by XgenPlus, is the free consumer version of the same capability.
Is XgenPlus available on-premise?
Yes: on-premise, cloud or a hybrid of the two. On-premise and sovereign-cloud deployment is why banks and government bodies use it: the mail platform runs inside the customer’s own infrastructure rather than on shared public cloud.
Which industries use XgenPlus?
Banking and financial services, government and e-governance, defence, healthcare and pharma, telecom, education, and manufacturing: sectors where data has to stay inside the organisation’s own boundary and the platform has to survive an audit.
